Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from the Catalonia Pyrenees, start by heading south on the N-260 towards Lleida. Merge onto the AP-7 highway towards Barcelona. Once you approach Barcelona, follow signs for Ronda de Dalt (B-20) and then take exit 6 for C-31 towards Barcelona-Ciutat Vella. Continue on Carrer de Muntaner and then follow Carrer de Pau Claris until you reach Passeig de Lluís Companys, where the Arc de Triomf is located. Note that parking in the area can be challenging and may incur costs, typically around €2-€4 per hour.

• Train

  To reach Arc de Triomf by train, first, make your way to the nearest major train station in the Catalonia Pyrenees such as La Seu d'Urgell or Puigcerdà. From there, take a train to Barcelona Sants station. Once at Barcelona Sants, transfer to the L5 (Blue Line) of the Metro and travel towards Vall d'Hebron. Change at Diagonal to catch the L3 (Green Line) towards Trinitat Nova, getting off at the Passeig de Gràcia station. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to the Arc de Triomf, or you can catch the L1 (Red Line) from Universitat to Arc de Triomf station. The train fare varies but expect to pay around €10-€15.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, check the local bus services that connect your location in the Catalonia Pyrenees to Barcelona. Once in Barcelona, you can take the TMB bus routes that stop near Arc de Triomf, such as the 19, 51, or 141. For example, if you take a bus from Ripoll, you may need to transfer at a major station like Barcelona Nord and then catch another local bus. The bus fare is generally €2.40 for a single ticket.
