Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the town of Tossa de Mar. From the AP-7 motorway, take exit 9 towards Tossa de Mar. Follow the signs for Tossa de Mar, which will lead you to the main road (C-253). Once in Tossa de Mar, follow the signs to the town center. The Muralles de Tossa de Mar is located at Passeig de Vila Vella, 1. There is paid parking available nearby, so be prepared for parking fees that typically range from €1 to €3 per hour.

• Bus

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from other locations in the Costa Brava region to Tossa de Mar. If you're coming from Barcelona, you can catch a bus from Estació del Nord to Tossa de Mar, which usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Tossa de Mar bus station, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Muralles de Tossa de Mar. Simply head towards the beach and follow the signs towards the old town (Vila Vella).

• Train and Bus

  Another option is to take a train to the nearby town of Blanes. From Barcelona, you can catch a train to Blanes, which takes about 1 hour. Once in Blanes, transfer to a local bus heading to Tossa de Mar. The bus ride from Blanes to Tossa de Mar takes approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at the Tossa de Mar bus station, walk for about 10 minutes towards Passeig de Vila Vella, where the Muralles de Tossa de Mar is located.

• Walking

  If you're already in Tossa de Mar, walking to the Muralles de Tossa de Mar is very straightforward. From the center of town, head towards the beach and follow the promenade (Passeig del Mar) until you reach the old town area. Continue walking up the hill until you see the walls and towers of the fortress. This leisurely walk offers beautiful views and typically takes around 15 to 20 minutes.
