Bus
To get to the Medes Islands from central Girona, start by walking to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Girona, located at Carrer de Pau Casals, 2. From there, take the bus line 'L1' or 'L2' towards 'Platja d'Aro'. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the stop 'L'Estartit'. Once you arrive in L'Estartit, you will find various boat services that can take you to the Medes Islands. Look for signs directing you to the boat docks, which are approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Train and Boat
From Girona, walk to the Girona train station, which is located at Carrer de la Estació. Take a train heading to 'Flaçà', and transfer at Flaçà to a train heading to 'L'Estartit'. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at L'Estartit station, walk towards the coastal area (about 15 minutes) where you will find the boat services to the Medes Islands. Follow the signs to the harbor.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Girona to L'Estartit. Just inform the taxi driver that you want to go to L'Estartit for the Medes Islands. The ride will take approximately 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in L'Estartit, head to the harbor where you can find boat services to the Medes Islands.
