Bus
From the center of Girona, walk to the main bus station (Estació d'Autobusos de Girona), located at Carrer del Nord. Once there, take the bus number 602 towards Torroella de Montgrí. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Torroella de Montgrí', which is the closest stop to Montgrí Castle.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Torroella de Montgrí, after getting off the bus, head north on Carrer de la Riera. Continue straight until you reach Carrer de la Costa, then turn left. Follow this road, which will start to incline as you approach the base of the mountain. The path leading to Montgrí Castle is well-marked and will take about 40 minutes to hike up to the castle from here.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Girona city. Head towards the bike path that leads to Torroella de Montgrí, which runs alongside the main road. It will take about 50 minutes to reach Torroella de Montgrí. Once you arrive, follow the same walking directions to Montgrí Castle as provided earlier.
