Bus
From the center of Girona, head to the main bus station (Estació d'Autobusos de Girona) located at Carrer de Pau Casals, 1. You can reach the bus station by walking or taking a taxi. At the bus station, purchase a ticket for the bus to Begur. Buses generally run every hour, but be sure to check the schedule. The journey to Begur will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Begur, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, Platja Fonda is about a 20-minute walk. Head south towards the coast, following signs to Platja Fonda. You’ll pass through the picturesque town of Begur, and the beach will be visible as you get closer.
Train and Bus
Start at the Girona train station (Estació de Girona) located at Carrer del Nord, 1. Take a train to the nearest station, which is either Flaçà or Sils, depending on the schedule. After arriving at your chosen station, look for the bus stop nearby. Purchase a ticket for the bus to Begur. The total travel time, including the train and bus, will be around 1.5 hours. Once in Begur, follow the previous directions to walk to Platja Fonda.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Girona to Platja Fonda. Simply ask your hotel or any local for a taxi or use a ride-hailing app if available. The journey will take approximately 35-40 minutes, depending on traffic, and will take you directly to the beach location.
