From the heart of El Mercadal, head east on Carrer de Santa Clara towards Plaça de la Independència. Continue straight until you reach the square. Once at Plaça de la Independència, turn left onto Carrer de l'Argenteria. Follow this street until you reach Carrer dels Alemanys, where you will see the entrance to Muralles de Girona on your right. The total walking distance is approximately 900 meters, which should take around 10-12 minutes.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in El Mercadal. From your location, cycle east towards Plaça de la Independència, then turn left onto Carrer de l'Argenteria. Keep cycling straight until you reach Carrer dels Alemanys. The ride should take about 5-7 minutes, and parking for bicycles is available near the entrance of Muralles de Girona.

Public Transport (Bus)
Although the distance to Muralles de Girona is short, if you choose to use public transport, you can take the L1 bus line from the nearest bus stop in El Mercadal. Board the bus heading towards Estació d'Autobusos. Get off at the next stop, which is at Carrer de la Força. From there, it's a short walk (approximately 5 minutes) to Muralles de Girona by heading south on Carrer de la Força and then turning left onto Carrer dels Alemanys.
