Getting There

  • Bus

    From Huelva city center, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Huelva. You can take bus line 1 or 3 towards Palos de la Frontera. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the stop 'Palos de la Frontera - Paraje de La Rábida'. From the bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to La Rabida Monastery. Head northeast on Calle de la Estación, then turn left onto Avenida de la Rábida, and you will see the monastery on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Huelva and follow the bike paths towards Palos de la Frontera. Start at the Parque Moret and head towards the coast. Continue along the bike lanes towards the direction of the Muelle del Tinto and follow the signs to Palos de la Frontera. The ride is about 10 km and will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Palos de la Frontera, follow signs to La Rabida Monastery, located at Paraje de La Rábida.

    For the adventurous, you can walk from Huelva to La Rabida Monastery. Start from the city center and head towards the riverfront. Follow the path along the Odiel River until you reach the bridge at Puente de la Palmera. Cross the bridge and follow the signs towards Palos de la Frontera. It is a scenic route of about 10 km that will take approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive in Palos, continue to follow the signs to La Rabida Monastery, which will be located about 3 km from the town center.
