Bus
From the center of Huesca, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Huesca, located at Calle Santiago Ramón y Cajal. You can walk there in about 15-20 minutes, or take a local taxi if preferred. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket to Alquézar, which is approximately a 30-40 minute bus ride away. Buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. Upon arrival in Alquézar, you will find yourself near the entrance of the village.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Huesca. Once you have your bike, head towards the A-1234 road, which leads to Alquézar. The distance is about 22 km and the ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Follow the signs for Alquézar as you ride, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. Please be cautious of traffic and make sure to wear a helmet.
Walking and Train
For a more adventurous option, you can walk to the nearby town of Barbastro, which is about 30 km away from Huesca. From Barbastro, you can take a local bus to Alquézar. To walk to Barbastro, head south from Huesca along the A-1234 road. This will take you around 6-8 hours, so ensure you have plenty of water and snacks. Alternatively, take a train from Huesca to Barbastro if available, and then a bus to Alquézar.
