If you're driving to Plaza de Sta. Bárbara in Madrid, start from the center of Camino de Santiago. Head towards the A-6 highway and take it towards Madrid. Follow the signs for the M-30 ring road and exit at Avenida de América. Continue towards the city center, following signs for Centro. Once you reach the Plaza de Cibeles, take a left onto Calle de Alcalá, then right onto Calle de Gran Vía. From Gran Vía, turn left onto Calle de Fuencarral, and then take a right onto Calle de Santa Bárbara. The plaza will be on your right. Look for nearby parking options as street parking can be limited.

To reach Plaza de Sta. Bárbara using public transportation, start at the nearest bus or train station in Camino de Santiago. Take a train or bus to Madrid Atocha or Madrid Chamartín stations. From Atocha, take Metro Line 1 (the light blue line) towards Pinar de Chamartín and transfer at Sol station to Line 2 (the dark blue line) towards Cuatro Caminos. Get off at the Tribunal station. From there, it's a short walk: head east on Calle de Fuencarral, turn right onto Calle de Santa Bárbara, and you'll arrive at the plaza in about 10 minutes.
