If you are driving, you can access Puerta de Hierro via the M-30 ring road. Depending on your starting point in Madrid Community, take the appropriate exit for the M-30 towards A-6. Once on the A-6, take the exit towards Moncloa - Aravaca. Follow the signs for Moncloa and then for Puerta de Hierro. There is limited street parking available around the area, so be prepared to look for parking options nearby.
Public Transportation - Metro
To get to Puerta de Hierro via Metro from central Madrid, take Line 6 (the circular line) to Moncloa station. From Moncloa, transfer to Line 3 (the light green line) in the direction of Villaverde Alto and disembark at the next stop, Aravaca. From Aravaca station, it's about a 15-minute walk to Puerta de Hierro. Follow the signs towards the main road, and then head towards the landmark, which is located at Moncloa - Aravaca, 28040 Madrid.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer to take the bus, you can catch the bus number 161 from various stops in central Madrid. Ensure you board the bus heading towards Aravaca. Disembark at the Puerta de Hierro stop, which is right by the landmark. The bus fare is approximately €1.50, and it can take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
