Metro
To reach Plaza de Cibeles by metro, find your way to the nearest metro station. Board Line 2 (the red line) and travel towards Cuatro Caminos. Get off at the 'Banco de España' station. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Plaza de Cibeles. Exit the station and head northwest on Calle de los Madrazo, then turn left onto Calle de Alcalá, and you will see the plaza ahead. Note that a single metro ticket costs around €1.50.
Bus
You can also take the bus to Plaza de Cibeles. Look for bus lines 1, 2, 74, 146, or 150, which all stop nearby. If you are starting from a different area, check the nearest bus stop and route. Once you arrive at the stop 'Cibeles', you will be right at the plaza. A single bus ticket costs approximately €1.50 and can be purchased from the driver.
