To reach the Biblioteca Nacional de España, start by locating the nearest metro station. If you are near the Gran Vía station, take Line 1 (the light blue line) towards Valdecarros. Get off at the next stop, which is Chueca. Transfer to Line 5 (the green line) and head towards Casa de Campo. Change at the next stop, which is Banco de España. From there, take Line 2 (the red line) in the direction of Cuatro Caminos and get off at the Retiro station. Exit the station and walk towards P.º de Recoletos. The library will be on your right at P.º de Recoletos, 20-22.

If you prefer to take the bus, find the nearest bus stop and check the local routes. Take Bus Line 14, which travels towards Avenida de América. Get off at the stop called 'Banco de España'. From there, walk towards the direction of the National Library, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. Continue on Calle de Alcalá until you reach P.º de Recoletos, then turn left. The Biblioteca Nacional de España will be on your right at P.º de Recoletos, 20-22.

If you are already in the Salamanca district, you can walk to the Biblioteca Nacional de España. Depending on your starting point, head towards P.º de Recoletos. If you are near the Retiro Park, exit the park towards the northwest corner and continue straight until you reach P.º de Recoletos. The library should be visible from the avenue, located at P.º de Recoletos, 20-22.
