Train
To reach El Escorial from central Madrid, start your journey at the Atocha Train Station. Take Line 1 (the Light Blue Line) from Atocha to Tribunal Station. At Tribunal, transfer to Line 10 (the Dark Blue Line) towards Puerta del Sur and ride until you reach the station called 'Los Molinos'. Once you arrive at Los Molinos, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located just outside the station entrance. From there, take the bus number 664, which will take you directly to El Escorial. The entire trip will take around 1.5 hours.

From the city center, head to Plaza de España. Here, find the bus stop for the intercity buses. Take the bus number 661 or 662, both heading towards El Escorial. The ride will take approximately 1 hour, and the buses run frequently throughout the day. Ensure you check the bus schedules beforehand to avoid long waiting times. Once you arrive at the El Escorial stop, you will be just a short walk from the entrance.

Begin your journey at the Gran Vía Metro Station. Take Line 1 (the Light Blue Line) towards Valdecarros and travel to Chueca Station. From Chueca, change to Line 5 (the Green Line) and head towards Casa de Campo. Get off at the next stop, which is 'Príncipe Pío'. From Príncipe Pío, you will find the Cercanías Renfe train services. Take the C-3 line towards El Escorial. The train ride takes about 1 hour. Upon arrival at El Escorial train station, follow the signs to the main tourist areas, which are a short walk away.
