Look for the large statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree (El Oso y el Madroño), a symbol of Madrid, which is located at the northeast corner of Puerta del Sol. The square is pedestrian-friendly, so simply follow the signs or the flow of pedestrians towards the area. You will reach Puerta del Sol in just a few minutes.

    If you are coming from another area of Madrid, you can take the metro to reach Puerta del Sol. The nearest metro station is 'Sol', which is served by Line 1 (Light Blue Line) and Line 3 (Yellow Line). To get there, enter the metro station, purchase a ticket (approximately €1.50), and take the train to the Sol station. Once you arrive at Sol, exit the train and follow the signs to the exit.
