Train
From Málaga, head to the Málaga María Zambrano Train Station. You can take the Cercanías train (line C-1) towards 'El Chorro' or 'Álora'. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the El Chorro station, exit the train and follow the signs to the main trails. The scenic views of the gorge begin just a short walk from the station.
Bus
From the main bus terminal in Málaga (Estación de Autobuses), take the ALSA bus towards 'Álora'. The bus ride will take about 1 hour and you will want to get off at the 'El Chorro' stop. After disembarking, follow the signs leading to the hiking trails and attractions in El Chorro.
Taxi
You can also opt for a taxi directly from your location in Málaga to El Chorro. Simply ask the taxi driver to take you to 'El Chorro', which should take around 45 minutes, depending on traffic. This is a more direct and comfortable option if you are traveling with a group or have a lot of luggage.
Walking (from El Chorro Station)
If you arrive at the El Chorro train station, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the main attractions. Exit the station and follow the road signs towards the 'Caminito del Rey' trail. It's about a 30-minute walk, and you will be treated to stunning views of the surrounding landscape as you make your way towards the gorge.
