From Málaga city center, walk to the 'Estación de Autobuses' (Bus Station) located at Paseo de los Tilos, s/n. You can take the ALSA bus heading to Vélez-Málaga. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Vélez-Málaga bus station, exit the station and head towards the main road. Turn left on Avenida de Andalucía and walk straight for about 15 minutes. You will reach C. Palafranero Sebastián Sánchez. The Fortress of Vélez-Málaga will be on your right.

From Málaga city center, head to the 'Estación de María Zambrano' (train station). Take the Cercanías train towards Torre del Mar, which stops at Vélez-Málaga. The train ride is about 40 minutes. When you arrive at the Vélez-Málaga train station, exit and walk towards the main road, Avenida de Andalucía. Turn left and walk about 20 minutes straight until you reach C. Palafranero Sebastián Sánchez, where the Fortress is located.
