Getting There

• Bus

  From Málaga city center, head to the 'Alameda Principal' bus stop. Look for the bus line M-220, which goes directly to Mijas. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Mijas, get off at the 'Mijas Pueblo' stop. From there, walk straight on Calle de la Libertad for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Pl. de la Libertad, where the Museo Historico-Etnologico is located.

• Train and Bus

  Take the Cercanías train from Málaga Maria Zambrano station towards Fuengirola. Get off at the 'Fuengirola' station, which takes about 35 minutes. From Fuengirola, head to the nearby bus station and take the M-220 bus to Mijas. The bus ride is around 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Mijas Pueblo' stop and walk about 5 minutes along Calle de la Libertad to reach Pl. de la Libertad, where the museum is located.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a direct route, you can take a taxi from Málaga city center to Mijas. Simply ask the driver to take you to Pl. de la Libertad, 1. The journey will take approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic. This option is more expensive but convenient if you are traveling in a group or carrying heavy luggage.

• Walking from Mijas Pueblo

  If you are already in Mijas Pueblo, you can easily walk to the Museo Historico-Etnologico. Head towards Calle de la Libertad, which is a short and pleasant walk. It will take you around 5 minutes to reach Pl. de la Libertad, where the museum is located.
