From Málaga city center, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Málaga. You can take a taxi or a 15-20 minute walk from Plaza de la Constitución to reach the bus station. Once at the bus station, look for the buses heading to Nerja. The ALSA bus company provides direct services approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 1 hour. When you arrive at the Nerja bus station, exit the station and walk towards the main road. Follow the signs towards the beach and walk straight for about 1.5 km (around 20 minutes) until you reach Playa Burriana.

Take the train from Málaga Centro Alameda to Torre del Mar. From the Torre del Mar train station, you will need to take a local bus (M-1) towards Nerja.
