Bus
From the city center of Murcia, head to the Estación de Autobuses (Bus Station) located at Calle José Antonio 1. Take Bus Line 1 towards Elche. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Elche, get off at the 'Plaza de la Constitución' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Basílica de Santa María. Head west on Calle Doctor José Juan, then turn left onto Plaza de Santa María, where the basilica is located.
Train
Start at the Murcia del Carmen Train Station. Take the train towards Elche. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach Elche Train Station, exit and walk towards Avenida de la Libertad. Take a right and walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach Plaza de la Constitución. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk to the Basílica de Santa María. Head west on Calle Doctor José Juan and turn left onto Plaza de Santa María.
Taxi or Ride-sharing Service
If you prefer a more direct route, you can also take a taxi or use a ride-sharing app. Simply request a ride to 'Plaça de Sta. Maria, 1, 03202 Elx, Alicante'. The drive will take approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic. This option is ideal if you are traveling in a group or with heavy luggage.

If you are feeling adventurous and would like to explore the surroundings, you can opt for walking. Start at the central Plaza de las Flores in Murcia, and head towards the city’s main bus station. From there, take Bus Line 1 to Elche. After arriving at Plaza de la Constitución in Elche, follow the walking directions provided in the bus section.
