Bus
If you are in the central area of Murcia, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Murcia. From there, take Bus Line 44 towards Cartagena. The bus ride takes approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the bus stop 'Cartagena - Plaza de España'. Once you disembark, head towards the 'Plaza de España', which is a central square in Cartagena. From the plaza, walk down 'Calle San Diego' until you reach 'Calle del Carmen'. Continue straight on this road, and you will soon see signs for 'Castillo de la Concepción'. Follow the signs, and after about 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the castle, located in Parque Torres.
Train
Make your way to the Murcia del Carmen train station. From there, take a train to Cartagena. The train journey typically lasts around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cartagena train station, exit the station and head towards 'Avenida de América'. Walk straight until you reach 'Calle de la Palma', then turn left. Continue walking until you reach 'Plaza de España'. From the plaza, follow 'Calle San Diego' and then 'Calle del Carmen'. After around 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at 'Castillo de la Concepción' in Parque Torres.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle in the central area of Murcia. Follow the bike paths towards the direction of Cartagena. The route is approximately 30 km and generally takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Cartagena, park your bicycle near 'Plaza de España'. From there, head down 'Calle San Diego' to 'Calle del Carmen'. Keep following the signs for 'Castillo de la Concepción', and you will reach the castle in Parque Torres.
Walking
If you are already in Cartagena, the castle is located on a hill with a beautiful view. From 'Plaza de España', walk down 'Calle San Diego' for about 10 minutes. You will reach 'Calle del Carmen'. Turn left and continue walking for another 5 minutes. You will see signs directing you to 'Castillo de la Concepción'. Follow the path up the hill, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. After another 10 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the castle in Parque Torres.
