Getting There

• Bus

  From the city center of Oviedo, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Oviedo. Look for the ALSA bus services that go to Gijón. Take the bus heading to Gijón and enjoy the approximately 30-minute ride. Once you arrive at the Gijón bus station, exit the station and head towards the nearest bus stop labeled 'Jardín Botánico.' Board bus number L13, which will take you directly to the Jardín Botánico Atlántico. The botanical garden is a short walk from the bus stop.

• Train

  Make your way to the Oviedo train station, Estación de Tren de Oviedo. Purchase a ticket for the regional train to Gijón. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Gijón train station, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop. Take bus number L13 towards 'Jardín Botánico,' which will drop you off close to the entrance of the Jardín Botánico Atlántico.

• Walking

  If you are near Gijón and prefer walking, from the city center, head towards the coastline and follow the signs for the promenade. Walk along the promenade until you reach the Parque de Isabel la Católica. Continue straight towards Avenida del Jardín Botánico. Follow the avenue until you see signs for Jardín Botánico Atlántico. The walk will take approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Oviedo to Jardín Botánico Atlántico in Gijón. Simply ask the taxi driver to take you to 'Av. del Jardín Botánico, 2230, Gijón.' It’s about a 30-minute drive depending on traffic, and this option is convenient if you have luggage or prefer not to navigate public transportation.
