Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Cangas de Onís. Head east on the N-625 road towards the Picos de Europa National Park. After approximately 23 km, take the exit for the A-261 towards Covadonga. Continue on the A-261 for about 12 km until you reach the village of Covadonga. Here, you can park your car in the designated parking areas (note: parking fees may apply, typically around €5-€10). From Covadonga, follow the signs for the Lakes of Covadonga (Lagos de Covadonga) and drive up to the lakes area. The road to the lakes is narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Once you reach the lakes, park your vehicle in the designated areas. From the lakes, you can start your hike to Collado Pandébano, which is approximately 3.5 km away. Follow the marked trail from the lakes towards Collado Pandébano, which will take about 1.5 to 2 hours of moderate hiking.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Cangas de Onís to Covadonga. The bus service operates several times a day, and the fare is approximately €2-€3. Once you arrive at Covadonga, follow the same instructions as above regarding parking and hiking. Alternatively, during the summer months, there are shuttle buses that run from Covadonga to the Lakes of Covadonga, which is a convenient option if you do not want to drive. The shuttle bus fare is around €3-€4 each way.
