From San Sebastián city center, walk to the 'Donostia/San Sebastián' bus station located at Avenida de la Libertad, 7. Look for the bus to 'Azpeitia' or 'Zumaia'. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Hernio' stop. From there, follow the signs leading to Hernio, which is a short uphill walk. The path is marked and will lead you to the peak.

Start at the 'Donostia/San Sebastián' train station. Take a train to 'Azpeitia' (approximately 30 minutes). Once in Azpeitia, exit the station and find the bus stop for the 'Hernio' bus. This bus will take you directly to the base of Hernio. The bus ride is around 15 minutes. After getting off, follow the path signs to reach the summit.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many bike rental shops in San Sebastián. Head towards the 'Paseo Nuevo' promenade and follow the coastal road until you reach the 'N-634' highway. Follow the signs for Hernio, which will guide you through the countryside. The ride is approximately 15 km and may take around 1 hour. Be cautious of the traffic and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

For the adventurous, you can walk to Hernio from San Sebastián. Start your journey at Plaza de Gipuzkoa and head towards the 'Paseo de la Concha'. Follow the coastline until you reach the 'N-634'. Continue walking along the N-634 until you see signs for Hernio. This route is about 18 km and may take around 4-5 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
