Bus
From the city center of San Sebastián, walk to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Donostia, located at Avenida de Navarra, 1. Once there, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Saint-Jean-de-Luz. The journey takes about 40 minutes. After arriving at the Saint-Jean-de-Luz bus station, exit and head towards the coast. Walk straight towards Rue de la République, then turn right onto Rue de l'Infante. Continue straight until you reach the beach area, where you will find Plage de Lafitenia.
Train
Begin at the San Sebastián train station, located at Plaza de Euskadi. Take a train towards Hendaye, which will stop at the Saint-Jean-de-Luz station. The trip will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Saint-Jean-de-Luz train station, exit and walk towards the coast on Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Turn right onto Rue de la République, then follow it until you reach Rue de l'Infante. Continue straight to reach Plage de Lafitenia.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to enjoy the scenery, you can walk from San Sebastián to Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Start from the Paseo de la Concha and head west along the coastal path. This route will take you through beautiful views of the Bay of Biscay and various small towns along the way. The entire walk is around 24 km, and it may take about 5-6 hours. Ensure you have comfortable walking shoes and take breaks at scenic spots.
