From the heart of Centro, start at Plaza de la Constitución, a popular square known for its vibrant atmosphere. Head east on Calle Mayor until you reach the junction with Calle San Jerónimo. Turn left onto Calle San Jerónimo and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle 31 de Agosto. Turn right and follow this street until you reach the base of Monte Urgull. Look for the signs directing you to the pathway leading up the hill. The ascent to Baluarte del Mirador may take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace, and offers beautiful views along the way.

If you prefer a more scenic route, you can take the funicular from the base of Monte Urgull. Head to the Funicular de Igueldo station, which is a short walk from the Centro area. Once there, purchase a ticket for about €3.50 (round trip) at the kiosk. The funicular will take you to the top of Monte Igueldo, where you can enjoy panoramic views of San Sebastián and then make your way to Baluarte del Mirador on foot, following the signs down towards the observation deck.
