Walking
If you are starting from the city center (Plaza de Gipuzkoa), head east towards the river. Cross the Puente de la Zurriola bridge. Once you reach the other side, turn left and follow the riverbank along the Paseo de la Zurriola until you reach the beach. Continue along the beach promenade until you see the steps leading up to Monte Urgull. Ascend the steps until you reach the top where you will find the stunning views and the Castillo de la Mota.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the city center (Plaza de Gipuzkoa), walk to the nearest bus stop (Estación de Autobuses) and take Bus Line 28 towards 'Old Town'. Get off at the stop 'Paseo Nuevo'. From there, walk towards the coastal path that leads to Monte Urgull. Follow the path that curves around the base of the mountain until you find the stairs leading up to the summit.
