Car
If you are driving, head towards Santillana del Mar from your current location in Cantabria. Follow signs for the A-67 highway. Once you are on the A-67, take exit 4 towards Santillana del Mar. After exiting, continue straight on the N-611 road until you reach the town. As you enter Santillana del Mar, look for signs to the Cave of Altamira. The cave is located at Avenida Marcelino Sanz de Sautuola, s/n. There is parking available nearby, so you can park your car and walk to the entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach the Cave of Altamira using public transportation, you can take a bus from Santander. Buses to Santillana del Mar leave regularly from the Estación de Autobuses de Santander. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Santillana del Mar bus station, exit the station and head toward Avenida Marcelino Sanz de Sautuola. The Cave of Altamira is a short walk from the station. Just follow the road signs directing you to the cave.
