Bus
From Santander city center, walk to the main bus station at Plaza de las Estaciones. Look for the bus line that goes towards 'Valles Pasiegos' or 'Selaya'. Purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or from the bus driver. Once on the bus, ask the driver to alert you when you reach 'Diseminado Quintana'. It should take about 45 minutes. Walk approximately 1 km from the bus stop to reach Nacimiento del río Gándara at Diseminado Quintana, 54.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Santander waterfront and head towards the north side of the city. Follow the signs towards the bike path leading to 'Puente de la Unidad'. Continue along the bike path, merging onto local roads towards 'Val de San Vicente'. The ride should take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you reach Quintana, follow local signs to Nacimiento del río Gándara.
Walking
Although it is quite a long walk, if you prefer to walk, start at Plaza de las Estaciones and head towards the bus station. From there, follow Avenida de los Castros north until you reach the 'Camino de Santiago' trail. Continue following the trail until you reach 'Diseminado Quintana'. This walk will take approximately 2 hours and is about 8 km long.
