Bus
From Santander, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Santander, which is located at Calle de los Leones, 8. There, find the bus service to Santillana del Mar. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Santillana del Mar bus station, exit the station and walk straight along Calle de la Villa until you reach Plaza de las Arenas. The Palacio de Los Velarde will be on your right at Plaza de las Arenas, 8.
Train and Bus
Start at the Santander train station, Estación de Tren de Santander, located at Paseo de Pereda, 1. Take a train towards Torrelavega (make sure it stops at Torrelavega station). Once you arrive at Torrelavega, transfer to a local bus heading to Santillana del Mar. After about 15 minutes on the bus, get off at the Santillana del Mar stop. Walk to Plaza de las Arenas, which is only a few minutes away from the bus stop, and you will find the Palacio de Los Velarde at number 8.
Walking
If you are in the central area of Santander, you can take a scenic walk to the ferry terminal (Puerto de Santander), which is about 20 minutes from the city center. From there, catch a ferry to the nearby town of Santillana del Mar. Once you arrive, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Plaza de las Arenas. Follow the signs towards the town center, and the Palacio de Los Velarde will be located at Pl. las Arenas, 8.
