Bus
From the center of Santander, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Santander. You can take Bus Line 1 or Line 2 that goes towards Santillana del Mar. The buses run regularly, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to get off at the Santillana del Mar stop. From there, walk straight along Avenida del Zoo for about 10 minutes until you reach Santillana Zoo at Avenida del Zoo, 2.

Train and Bus
Start at the Santander train station, Estación de Tren de Santander. Take a train to Torrelavega (it takes about 30 minutes). Once you arrive at Torrelavega, exit the train station and head to the bus terminal nearby. From there, catch a bus heading to Santillana del Mar. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Santillana del Mar, walk along Avenida del Zoo for about 10 minutes to reach the zoo.

If you are in the central area of Santillana del Mar (for example, near the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana), you can walk to the zoo. Head south on Calle del Río until you reach the intersection with Avenida del Zoo. Turn right onto Avenida del Zoo and continue straight for about 15-20 minutes. The zoo will be on your left at Avenida del Zoo, 2.
