Train
From Valencia, head to the Estación del Norte train station, which is centrally located. Purchase a ticket to Sagunto; trains run regularly, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Sagunto station, exit the station and walk towards the main road (Carrer de Sagunt). Turn left and walk straight until you reach the bus stop for bus line 101 or 102. Board the bus and ride it for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop 'Castillo' or 'Calle del Castell'. From there, follow the signs uphill to Sagunto Castle, which is a short walk away.
Bus
If you prefer a direct bus, you can take the ALSA bus from the Valencia bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Valencia). Buses to Sagunto are available and typically take about 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Sagunto bus station, exit and walk towards the main road (Carrer de Sagunt), then catch bus line 101 or 102 towards 'Castillo' or 'Calle del Castell'. The castle is a short distance from the bus stop, follow the signs uphill.
Taxi
For a more direct option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Valencia to Sagunto Castle. Simply tell the driver 'Castillo de Sagunto'. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis are a comfortable way to get there, especially if you are traveling in a group.
Walking
If you are in the Sagunto area and prefer to walk to the castle, start from the town center. Head towards the main square (Plaza Mayor), then walk up Calle del Castillo. Follow the signs to the castle; the walk is uphill but offers beautiful views along the way. It should take about 20-30 minutes on foot.
