Car
If you're driving from Ampara town, head east on the A4 highway towards Pottuvil. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at Kiran. Turn right onto the A22 road and continue for another 15 kilometers. Look for local signposts pointing to Kotaganga Ella Falls. The GPS coordinates for the falls are approximately 7.3762409 latitude and 80.8135308 longitude, which you can enter into your navigation system. There is a small parking area available near the falls.

Public Transportation
From Ampara town, take a local bus heading towards Pottuvil. Buses are frequent and usually cost around 50 LKR. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at Kiran junction. From Kiran, you may need to catch a tuk-tuk (rickshaw) to the falls, which should cost around 200-300 LKR for the short ride. Make sure to clarify the destination with the driver, as some may not be familiar with Kotaganga Ella Falls.

If you prefer an adventurous route, you can opt to walk from the Kiran junction to the falls. The walk is approximately 4 kilometers and can take about 1 hour. Follow the path leading towards the hills, but be cautious as some parts may be steep or uneven. It’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
