Getting There

  • Bus

    From Anuradhapura town, head to the main bus station located on Station Road. Look for buses heading to 'Mahawilachchiya' or 'Habarana'. These buses usually leave every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 30-45 minutes. Inform the conductor that you are getting off at Rajanganaya Tank. The bus will drop you off near the tank entrance.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Anuradhapura. Head out of the town towards the A9 highway. Cycle north along the A9 for about 10 kilometers, then look for a sign indicating the turnoff for Rajanganaya.
