Walking
Start your journey at the Anuradhapura Railway Station. Exit the station and head southeast on the Station Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Old Bus Stand. From there, take a left onto the Wewa Road. Walk along Wewa Road for approximately 4 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and small eateries along the way, which can be a good spot for refreshments. As you approach Rajanganaya, keep an eye out for the signs indicating the temple. The Rajanganaya lake temple will be on your right, and you will see the temple grounds marked by a distinct entrance.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Anuradhapura Central Bus Stand, take a bus heading towards Rajanganaya. Buses may not run frequently, so it’s best to check the schedule beforehand. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Rajanganaya main bus stop, exit the bus and walk along Wewa Road. The temple is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop, located just a short distance down the road on the right side. Look for signs pointing toward the temple as you walk.

Tuk-Tuk
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from any location in Anuradhapura. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The ride to the Rajanganaya lake temple should take around 20 minutes depending on traffic. Inform the driver to take you to the temple on Wewa Road. They will know the location, and upon arrival, you’ll find the temple entry right off the road.
