Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the entrance of Horton Plains National Park. Follow the main road leading into the park and proceed to the visitor center. From the visitor center, take the road leading towards the World's End trailhead. Continue along this road until you reach a fork; take the left path that leads to the Glenanore Viewpoint. The viewpoint is approximately 5 kilometers from the fork, and you will find a small parking area nearby. Please note that there may be a parking fee applicable.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Glenanore Viewpoint using public transportation, first take a bus or taxi to the nearest town, Haputale. From Haputale, you can hire a local tuk-tuk or taxi to take you to the entrance of Horton Plains National Park. Once inside the park, follow the main road to the visitor center. From the visitor center, you will need to arrange a local guide or transport to take you to the Glenanore Viewpoint, as public transport does not directly service this area. Ensure to negotiate the fare in advance with the driver.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, after reaching the visitor center, you can embark on a scenic hike toward Glenanore Viewpoint. Follow the signs for the World's End trail, and after approximately 1.5 kilometers, take a left turn at the fork in the trail. The hike to the viewpoint is about 2.5 kilometers from this point. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear, and carry enough water and snacks for the journey.
