If you are driving from the center of Batticaloa, head east on Kallady Road (A4) towards the coast. Continue straight for about 4 kilometers. You will reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto Batticaloa - Kalmunai Road (A4) and follow it for another 2 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Batticaloa Lagoon and turn left onto the access road leading to the lagoon area. There is parking available nearby.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Batticaloa town, find a bus heading towards Kalmunai or the coastal area. Buses frequently leave from the Batticaloa Bus Station. The journey should take around 30 minutes. Inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Batticaloa Lagoon. Once you arrive, you may have to walk a short distance to reach the lagoon itself.
