    Getting There

    Tuk-Tuk

    From the center of Bentota, head to the main road (Galle Road). You can easily find a tuk-tuk stand nearby or hail one on the street. Once you are in the tuk-tuk, say 'Kalutara Beach' to the driver. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views as you pass through small towns and paddy fields. The driver will drop you off directly at Kalutara Beach.

    Public Bus

    Walk to the Bentota bus station, which is located near the Bentota River. Look for buses heading towards Kalutara. You can check the bus schedule, but typically, buses run every 30 minutes. The fare is very affordable, usually less than 50 LKR. The journey will take around 45 minutes. Once you reach the Kalutara bus station, you can walk towards Kalutara Beach, which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the main road, and you will see signs directing you to the beach.

    Cycling

    If you are feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Bentota. Head towards the Galle Road and follow the signs to Kalutara. The cycling distance is approximately 10 kilometers and will take around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace. Enjoy the ride along the coastal road, taking in the beautiful scenery. Make sure to stay on the left side of the road and be cautious of traffic.
