Car
If you are traveling by car, set your GPS to X223+M8H, Manik, Polonnaruwa. From Kandy, take the A9 highway towards Matale and continue until you reach the junction for the A12 towards Polonnaruwa. Follow the A12 until you reach Polonnaruwa, and then navigate towards the coordinates provided. Look for local signage indicating Vishnu Devale No 2 as you near Manik.
Public Transportation
To reach Vishnu Devale No 2 via public transportation, take a bus from Kandy to Polonnaruwa. Buses frequently depart from the Kandy bus station. Once you reach the Polonnaruwa bus terminal, you can take a tuk-tuk or a local bus towards Manik, asking the driver to drop you off at Vishnu Devale No 2. Be prepared for a small fare, typically around LKR 500-700 for the tuk-tuk ride.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the Polonnaruwa bus terminal, it is approximately a 30-minute walk. Exit the bus station and head towards the main road. Follow the road signs towards Manik, ensuring to keep to the side of the road for safety. The path is relatively straightforward, but it’s advisable to use a map app for navigation.
