Getting There

• Car

  To reach Hamilton Canal Park by bus, board a bus heading towards Hekitta from Colombo Fort Bus Station. Look for buses that indicate stops along the B365 route. The journey should take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Hekitta, ask the conductor or locals for directions to Hamilton Canal Park, which is a short walk from the nearest bus stop. Be sure to have small change handy for the bus fare, which is typically around 50-100 LKR.

• Public Transport - Train

  For those opting for the train, start by taking a train from Colombo Fort Station towards the Colombo suburban lines. Disembark at the nearest station to Hekitta. From the station, you can take a tuk-tuk or a local bus to reach Hamilton Canal Park. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes.
