Bus
From Colombo Fort Station, take a bus heading towards Kalutara. Look for buses labeled 'Kalutara' or 'Panadura.' The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Request the driver to drop you off at Kalutara Beach. Once you get off the bus, walk straight towards the beach, which is about a 5-minute walk.
Train
From Colombo Fort Railway Station, board a train heading towards Kalutara. The train journey usually takes about 1 hour. Get off at the Kalutara South station. From there, you can take a tuk-tuk or walk to Kalutara Beach, which is approximately a 10-15 minute walk. Just head towards the coast, and you will find the beach.
Tuk-Tuk
If you are near any central area in Colombo, you can easily hire a tuk-tuk. Just tell the driver 'Kalutara Beach.' The ride will take around 1 hour, depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
