    From Pettah, head towards the main road, Main Street. Walk straight until you reach the junction with Chatham Street. Turn left onto Chatham Street and continue walking until you reach the junction with Janadhipathi Mawatha. At this junction, turn right and continue walking straight until you reach the roundabout. Independence Square is located a short distance straight ahead on Independence Avenue.

    From Pettah, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Look for buses heading towards Cinnamon Gardens or directly to Independence Square. Buses such as 100, 101, and 107 typically serve this route. The bus fare will range from 20 to 40 LKR depending on your exact bus choice. Once you reach the bus stop close to Independence Square, disembark and walk a short distance to the square.
