If you're traveling by car, head to the A1 highway, which connects major cities in the Dry Zone. From the town of Dambulla, take the A9 road heading towards Habarana. After approximately 15 km, turn left onto the road leading directly to Sigiriya. Follow the signs for Sigiriya Rock Fortress. There is ample parking available near the entrance, and the entrance fee for foreigners is around $30.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Sigiriya by bus, start from Dambulla. Take a local bus from Dambulla bus station to Sigiriya. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes, and buses run frequently throughout the day. The fare is approximately 50 LKR. Once you arrive at the Sigiriya bus station, it is a short walk to the entrance of the fortress, following the signs.
