If you are driving from the Hambantota town center, take the A2 road heading east. Continue for about 37 kilometers until you reach the junction at Tissamaharama. Turn left onto the B14 road and follow the signs for Tissa Lake. The lake is approximately 5 kilometers down this road. Look for parking areas near the lake upon arrival.

From Hambantota, head to the main bus station and look for buses heading to Tissamaharama (Tissa). The journey takes about 1 hour and costs around 50 LKR. Once you arrive in Tissamaharama, you can take a tuk-tuk (three-wheeler) for about 300 LKR to Tissa Lake, which is approximately 5 kilometers away.
