If you are driving from the main entrance of Bundala National Park, head north on the A2 road. Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach Tissamaharama. Once you arrive in Tissamaharama, look for the signposts indicating Ethabendigala. Turn left onto the road marked with the coordinates 77PC+9V4. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the designated area where Kandula was tied. There may be a small parking area available nearby.

To reach Ethabendigala using public transport, start by taking a local bus from Bundala to Tissamaharama. Buses run regularly, and the fare is usually around 30 LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees). Once you arrive in Tissamaharama, you can either walk to the location, which is about a 30-minute trek, or hire a tuk-tuk for approximately 200-300 LKR to take you directly to 77PC+9V4.
