Car
If you are driving, start from Hambantota Town. Head east on Galle Road (A2) for about 10 kilometers. After passing the Hambantota Port and several local shops, look for the sign for Abarana Ella on your left. Turn onto the small road towards Abarana Ella. Continue straight for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the parking area for Abarana Ella. Be cautious as the road may be narrow and winding.
Public Transportation
To reach Abarana Ella using public transportation, take a bus from Hambantota Town towards Wellawaya. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Abarana Ella junction, which is approximately 10 kilometers from Hambantota. The bus fare is typically around 50 LKR. From the junction, you will have to walk about 3 kilometers along the narrow road leading to Abarana Ella. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes as the path may be uneven.
Tuk-Tuk
For a more direct route, consider hiring a tuk-tuk from Hambantota Town. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which can range from 500 to 1000 LKR depending on the time of day and your bargaining skills. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to Abarana Ella and drop you off at the entrance.
