If you are in the center of Hikkaduwa, start by walking towards the main road (Galle Road). From there, head southeast along Galle Road. You will walk past several shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing to Mirissa. The distance is approximately 10 kilometers, which may take about 2 hours on foot. As you walk, you will enjoy the coastal views and local scenery.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can easily find a tuk-tuk in the center of Hikkaduwa. Simply tell the driver 'Mirissa' and agree on a fare before starting your journey. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. The most common route is along Galle Road heading southeast. To reach Mirissa by bus, head to the Hikkaduwa bus station, which is located near the main beach area. Look for buses heading towards Matara, as they stop in Mirissa.
