Walking
Start from Hikkaduwa Beach, head north along the beach road until you reach the main road (Galle Road). Turn left onto Galle Road and continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you see the Hikkaduwa Post Office on your right. Cross the road and head into the small street directly opposite the Post Office. This street is Milla Hill Road. Continue walking straight on Milla Hill Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and small eateries. As you walk, keep an eye on the surroundings for signs leading to Rice Field View Point. After about 1.5 kilometers, look for a sign that indicates the Rice Field View Point. It will be on your right. Follow the path leading to the viewpoint, which is surrounded by lush rice fields. Enjoy the scenic views and the tranquil atmosphere.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from any of the rental shops in Hikkaduwa. Start your ride from the Hikkaduwa Beach area, cycling north along the beach road until you reach Galle Road. Turn left onto Galle Road and cycle for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Hikkaduwa Post Office. At the Post Office, turn right into the small street across the road, which is Milla Hill Road. Continue cycling straight along Milla Hill Road for about 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Rice Field View Point on your right. Once you see the sign, turn onto the path that leads to the viewpoint. Enjoy the ride through the picturesque landscape and take in the beautiful views of the rice fields.
Tuk-Tuk
From your location in Hikkaduwa, flag down a tuk-tuk or book one via a ride-hailing app if available. Tell the driver you want to go to Rice Field View Point. They will take you along Galle Road. Depending on traffic, the ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes. Upon reaching the area, the driver will likely drop you off at the nearest point to the viewpoint. You may need to walk a short distance along Milla Hill Road to reach the entrance to the viewpoint. Enjoy your time at the Rice Field View Point and the stunning views it offers.
