Tell the driver you want to go to 'Urawatte Sea Turtle Hatchery' in Ambalangoda, which is approximately 10 km away. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!

From Hikkaduwa, walk to the main bus stop located on Galle Road. Look for a bus heading towards Ambalangoda (these buses are frequent). Once on the bus, it will take about 30 minutes to reach Ambalangoda. Inform the conductor that you need to get off at Urawatta Cemetery, which is near the hatchery. After disembarking, walk towards the beach; the Urawatte Sea Turtle Hatchery is just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you're up for some exercise, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Hikkaduwa. Head north along Galle Road.
