Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Kalutara town, head east on the A2 road towards Horana. After approximately 12 km, you will reach the intersection with the B8 road. Turn left onto the B8 road towards Thudugala. Continue for about 5 km until you see a sign for Thudugala waterfall. The last part of the journey involves driving on a narrow road. Parking is available near the waterfall entrance.

    From Kalutara town, take a bus heading towards Horana. Buses leave frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. After around 30 minutes, get off at the intersection with the B8 road. From there, you may need to hire a tuk-tuk or walk about 5 km along the B8 road until you reach the sign for Thudugala waterfall. Note that it is advisable to negotiate the tuk-tuk fare before starting the journey.
