Getting There

    If you are in the Kandy city center, start at the Kandy Lake. Head east along the lake's perimeter until you reach the Kandy Clock Tower. From the Clock Tower, walk straight down Dalada Veediya (Temple Road) towards the Temple of the Tooth. Continue past the temple, following the road as it curves to the left. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the main road (A1). Cross the road and head right towards Peradeniya. Follow the signs to Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the city center. The journey will take around 1 hour on foot.

  • Tuk-tuk

    From anywhere in Kandy, you can hire a tuk-tuk to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden. Simply tell the driver 'Peradeniya Botanical Gardens'. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a price before starting your journey.
